Rachel Wright

Rachael Wright is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of the Association for Play Therapy. Rachael’s counseling style incorporates her belief that within a place safety and support we can find healing and growth. In counseling
she works collaboratively with the client to create treatment goals and based on those goals she incorporates skill building and expressive activities. She tailors skill building and expressive activities for each client to aid in relaxation, anger management, depression, communication, parenting, and emotional expression. Since children do not use words to express themselves as adults do, she utilizes play therapy to help children express themselves naturally and find healing. She has found that art and play activities are just as beneficial for adults and teenagers as they are for children. In 2005, Rachael graduated with a double major from Hardin Simmons University obtaining a Bachelor of Behavioral Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. In 2009, she graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Rachael’s treatment specialties include:

  • Play therapy
  • Children of Divorced families
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Anger Management
  • Parenting
  • Abuse
  • Family Communication and Relationships
  • Child and Adolescent Behavior Concerns
